Friends, Twine and a Sketch

Welcome! I have a few things to share today. On 8/14/13 the Operation Write Home Midweek Throw-down challenge was posted...create a friendship card. I knew what stamp I wanted to use...one of the girlfriends from Art Impression- I won this stamp -along with many others- during a recent blog hop! I colored my gals and did not have time to create the card until yesterday and then I watched OWH TV and Sandy challenged us to make guy friendship cards! Yikes! Well, I stayed with my original plan and will keep manly cards on my to-do list! I sent a box of cards to Kris yesterday. I actually had to take out my small pile of Christmas/winter cards...they would not fit in the medium flat rate box but I did not have enough cards to fill a large box. I am trying to do better with getting my cards in a few weeks before deadlines so I really wanted to get the box out yesterday-so out came the wintery cards! At least I have a jump start on my next box! LOL

Here is my friendship card! Aren't these ladies a hoot! I added some glaze to the glasses, and use lots of copics to color them in! I wonder what movie they are watching? The curtains are a memory box die and the ticket was made with a WRMK corner punch.

And continuing with the person-place-thing theme, this week the Drunken Stampers have posted a great challenge:
DS137

So, I thought I was being all fancy using the scalloped punched to wrap the twine around and I found some very old adhesive backed varigated floss braided trim for a tiny border.... but go look at what the Yellow Canary team came up with and  look at the entries that have been submitted! http://drunkenstampers.wordpress.com/
I feel like I am in kindergarten with my card and everyone else is in a Masters program! lol lol lol  I like my card just fine- as long as it stands on it's own....not up against some pretty incredible cards!

Now onto today's OWH sketch-which I rotated:

                                         owh sketch canvas copy

Paula make a wonderful sample card!(Operation Write Home )
I used a Mo Manning digital stamp- soooo stinkin cute! All the papers are WRMK Winter Frost, stash ribbon, colors of copics:
C2,3,5,7   G0000, 00,02    B000, 00,01, 02      E21,51 YR000   R20

OK- that is plenty of chit chat from me today! Have a great week and please do craft on! (yes- Denise- continue to scrapbook- it is relaxing and rewarding!Your kids will thank you!)
