Hello!
I am enjoying what may be the last of the summer weather; the sun is nice during the day but I enjoy the cooler evenings. I adore the fall and have pulled out a few of my fall and wintery stamps. This week I decided to play along with a sketch challenge from
http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/
I used an adorable image from Sweet n Sassy Stamps titled Snowy Hello. The papers are by Fancy Pants Designs, Winterland 6x6 paper pad and the gems are by Queen and Co. The image is colored with Copic markers and I used Hero Arts Silver Shadow Ink for the snowflakes.
I also made a card for Operation Write Home's mid-month throwdown- http://operationwritehome.org/mid-month-throwdown-gratitude/
I used Elizabeth Crafts Peel Off Stickers for the outlines of the pumpkin and the leave and put them on DCWV glimmer paper-- this stuff is great- it does not rub off or flake! I colored the images with Copics; the colors come out more muted over the glittery paper. While the copics blend differently on this than regular paper- it is much prettier than the picture shows! The pumpkins look splotchy-and they are much nicer in real life! It is hard to photograph the paper! I have to lay down the color and then add the next color on top- rather than using stokes of color. I like the effect and it comes together quickly!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week,
Diane
Glad to see you posting again! Wonderful images and I love the sentiment on the second card. TFS!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card for LIM is really cute, it's such a fun image... we do actually like to see areas of white space rather than designer papers, but it's very sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us.
