I am just so thrilled that so many folks visited the OWH blog skip yesterday and I want to thank everyone for leaving such great comments at my blog! There were a lot of really great cards posted and I was very excited to be part of the skip...my very first- could you tell??? I tried to upload a quick video of the elephant/action wobble in motion but I could not add a video to my post! I will keep trying to figure it out! I will post the winner of my blog candy on Saturday am-so there is plenty of time to leave a comment!
So, on this day, the day after the skip, I was pumped and full of inspiration from all of the great cards posted yesterday....and I kept drawing a blank! I guess I had too many ideas running thru my head! So I looked at some of my colored images to see if I could use anything.
I had this cute little digi robot we used during Sandy Allnock's ICSE copic class and figured I would use it. I had to turn the sketch in it's side.
Here is the sketch:
(check out the sample card at OWH-simply fabulous operationwritehome.org/starsandstamps/)
And here is what I came up with.... I was not able to incorporate the 2 circles/embellishments on my card...and it is not all that true to the sketch- but I was inspired by the sketch and I am happy with the card.
supplies:
digi stamp from Birdie Brown https://www.etsy.com/transaction/112210014
copics
paper DCVW
goosebumps-Queen and Co
sentiment stamp: unknown
Have a great week!
Take care and craft on,
Diane

Awwww! I love him!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being part of the blog skip. Your card is just too cute and I love your choice of colors. I also like the touch of bling at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteAdorable...What colors did you use to color him? tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda- I used the cool grays- I did not like how my warms grays came out-with the brown tone they came out flat; the cool grays with a blue base come out more metallic- or at least to my eyes!
DeleteC1,2,3,5,7. Those are all the CGs I have so I used them all! The yellows are Y21 and Y 23 and the blues..B000 and B00.
Did you watch the show- Sandy colors WAY fast! I am much slower when I color- but I do enjoy her ICSE tutorials...I love my copics and want to learn everything possible! LOL Thanks for checking out my card! Diane
Such a cute image and a great coloring job with him.
ReplyDeleteLove this little robot with the yellow and blue patterned paper! You did a great job coloring it! The ric rac with the bling is a perfect touch. Great job on this week's sketch!
ReplyDeleteOh wow... LOVE the rick rack and your coloring is amazing!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove machine!!! OMG, that's so cute! I have several robot stamps, but no sentiment as great as that! Great coloring job, too!
ReplyDeleteThis is ADORABLE! Love it!
ReplyDeleteCute little robot -- love the coloring. The background DP is perfect and the ric rac adds a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteGreat coloring job on the robot. That background paper really reminds me of wheel cogs. I love the ric rac too!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Great sentiment! I love this! What a little cutie.
ReplyDeleteAdorable-your sentiment is perfect as is your color choice. TFS and congrats on being on the OWH Blog Skip!
