I got home today to a nice surprise...I won the Drunken Stampers Challenge....again- yup I am the Life of the Party! Can ya stand it??? I truly have a great time creating cards for these challenges....I really have to think long and hard to come up with something that fits the theme for the week....always based on a movie! Too fun...why are you not joining us over at Drunken Stampers?
I look forward to Paula's monthly post at OperationWriteHome.org for the Design Bootcamp. This month the topic is repitition. Paula's tutorials are always clear and helpful! Putting all her ideas into one card....let's just say-not every card comes out how it appears in my head...but I keep trying!

This card uses an assortment of polkadot papers and I repeated the main colors- orange, green and blue and repeated the dots with the fuzzy brads, I even embossed the striped piece of paper with tiny dots...overkill? And this cutie stamp is from Sweetnsassystamps.com! A really adorable set! I have seen some of their stamps on blogs but the stamp show is the first time I saw them in person! And the folks at the show- wonderfully nice!!
Want to see what Paige created the other nite? I guess she is now my 2nd guest designer- lol! The cupcake is from CTMH and the sign holding gorilla is from QKR Stampede-another new to me company- great unmounted red rubber stamps! It is a great and detailed stamp- but will you just look at the coloring of that ape? And this was her first time using Copics! I made a card with the gorilla too- but that can wait- just take in the glory of Paige's cards!!
Craft on!
Diane
Brought back memories of Tom and Renee. Seriously fun card...tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific group of cards Diane! Your Bootcamp card does a great job of using repetition in both pattern and color and that image is so darn cute. What fun fuzzy brads too! Thanks for your kind words and for joining in on the June Bootcamp. :)
ReplyDeleteall your cards are great, the boot camp is a great combo of colors and dots. i'm a big fan of circles/dots too, so easy to coordinate! TFS!
ReplyDeleteYou are right - that oranguatan is simply awesome and Paige did a great job coloring them - she is a natural!!! She must get it honestly from her aunt!
ReplyDeleteOf course you keep winning :) We love ya!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly her colouring is fabulous - definitely some inherited talent there!
I'm loving your peas & carrots - makes me think of Forrest & Jenny in Forrest Gump :D
O.K. now all you crazy peeps....we all know where Paige's talent and coloring abilities came from.......her MOMMA!!!
ReplyDeleteI also thought right away of Jennie and Forrest when I saw those peas n carrots!!! That sentiment is from Jerry Maguire
.....wrong movie...just sayin!!! Drunken alright!
LOL-- does Tessa know you are posting under her name Denise??? LOL And yes- Jennie and Forrest are like peas and carrots- and the sentiment is from Jerry Maguire.....who said I cannot combine movies? lol just saying....some people who claim to have artistic abilities should put their abilities to the test and make some stinkin cards! just saying! some people are too busy deciding what they need--- just that lamp, and only that chair--rather than coloring cute images! Consider yourself challenged! When you are recuperating- you will have lots of time to color!
DeleteLOL I know what I need...a crafty sister!!!!! Does anybody know where I can find one??? Just kidding, I am very proud of you, your talent, and your blogging ability! Look at me...I can't even leave a comment without the help of Tess!
ReplyDeleteYes she knew but she went out before she saw I was writing something fresh!
