Hello everyone! I have not posted for a while...I have been extra busy and working long days...so long that I think I am delusional! I am picking the Broncos???? OWH is having a CardBowl this weekend and our first challenge is to make a masculine card based on one of the teams. As a die-hard Patriots fan- I am not thrilled with the Broncos (I will get over it... eventually) but I do think they are going to win. http://operationwritehome.org/card-bowl-2014/
I apologize, my cards are crooked....that is how my week rolled...all week long- but today is a new day and I started it off making cards- so it is all good! I used Paper Smooches stamps- LOVE PS- great customer service, great quality stamps and dies and stinkin cute images- please go visit Kim- she has a wonderful blog and store! http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/
I tried some white flock on the top card- thanks Jen!
And I decided to play along with CC Designs this month so I used a sweet bunny/child stamp.....so precious! And there is more flock on the tail! They have a sketch challenge this time-join in on the fun! http://ccdesigns.typepad.com/cc_designs/2014/01/cc-designs-monthly-challenge-no-6.html
And oh my- I almost missed Marlene's sketch challenge from Sunday 1/26... I just realized I did not make a card on Sunday- as I usually do...so here is my late card. Another shout out to Jen- I purchased some of her stash and love this Unity shirt- so simple but I think it is perfect for no-frilly masculine cards!

And to round out my catch-up post- I have a kids card for the MWTD of 1/29. Another Paper Smooches stamp set- again- thanks to Jen! LOL And the middle egg is on an Action Wobble-a little extra fun for a child! http://operationwritehome.org/midweek-throwdown-cards-4-kids-4/

Lots of fun cards, I like the second horse card best with all of the colorful designed papers and tape pieces. The flock is a fun touch on the first, too!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the Pats, I do love your choice for the Super Bowl and your choice of elements on the Bronco card! Love the arrow brads leading to the sentiment, draws you right in!
ReplyDeleteWow, Daine, you really made up for not posting for a while. I understand how you feel, The weeks just get away form me. Well if the Patriots can't be in there, then I'm gong for the QB and I have to admit I do like Manning. LOL We have always lived in Ma, but the rest of my family are Steelers fans, so I hope they don't see my posting today. LOL. All of these cards are lovely, I love that bunny image with his flocked tail. The guy card is also very nice and will be appreciate by our heroes to send home. Your last card can be for anyone and it is darling. Hope next week slows down for you, but in the meantime enjoy the rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have this PS set and have barely used it... thanks for the inspiration! What a great bunch of cards. My interest in the Superbowl is microscopically small, but there _is_ a Canadian on the Seahawks team... :D
ReplyDeleteSorry about your Pats, but Peyton Manning appreciates your support with your cards :) He's a class act, and I wish him all the best tomorrow! These are all great cards, but I just LOVE the good egg!! Adorbs!
ReplyDeleteThere's some kind of football game today? Who knew? LOL! The only reason I watch the Superbowl is for the commercials and half time show! Boy, Diane, you really know how to catch up with a vengeance! Way to rock the PS stamps! All of these cards are fantabulous!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly, lady! You used those stamps more in a few days than I used them in a year! LOL! Way to go - LOVE the flocking on the horse and bunny and your good egg card is AWESOME! I was sad to give that one up but it was pretty much the only stamp I used out of the set. :/ Glad it got a good home wiht you!
