Playing Catch Up...(or my stinky week!)

I try to make the best of things- but this week...well let's just say it was not my greatest...but at least it ended on a good note!

I still have not finished looking at all the posts from the OWH Memorial Day bloghop--I have about 40 to go! I am enjoying the cards...but just have not had time! My goal is to complete it this week!

I was in a car accident this week...I am ok but my beloved Camry is in rough shape....waiting for the adjuster to make a decision...I hope they can fix it! I thought I had to cancel going to the Heirloom Stamp Show but I was able to rent a car--and they gave me....the same car! Same Camry, same color...ok- the stripped down model but it is basically my car! So- off to the show in my not so comfy driver's seat in the rental with my pal Fabre'. We had lots of fun and both stayed within our budgets but got plenty of fun goodies! I purchased 2 dies and the rest stamps-not a single piece of paper! And I got the prize for guessing the inspiration for my blog name!

I had a great breakfast today with the greatest friend in the world!  At least 20 years ago my niece Christine called my friend, Nancy, "the nicest lady in the world" and she was- and remains -so right on! I am so lucky to have wonderful people in my life...and I try to be grateful daily!

And I am going to Tessa's softball game tonight- love that sweet little athlete with a heart of gold! Her text to me after my accident:
"I hope you are OK and hope they can fix your car. We have had a lot of good memories in that car!"  What a wonderfully old soul in an 11 year old body!!

I bet you are here for cards!! Here they are:

Have a wonderful week and craft on!
Diane

  3. Yikes on the accident! So glad you're okay! Also glad you had a fun time and I envy you having such a long time friend. The cards are great, as usual. The car is so cute, the penguin is LOL! I have a lot of penguin stamps I use for cards for my Penguin Books editors and one editor's kids, but I've never seen that one! Too fun and the paper tearing was great. The challenge card is so pretty; it all fits together perfectly. Hope you have a much better week ahead!

  4. So Sorry about your car, but you weren't hurt, and that's the important thing! A tree fell on my car several weeks ago :( we weren't hurt but my car was :( It's 12 yrs old and didn't have a scratch on it until that moment :) So glad you made it to the Heirloom show! Can't wait to see what you got :)
Great cards today for the challenges! I read "How you doin'?" on the first one and immediately saw Joey on "Friends" asking that question again and again :) Love the surfing penguin and your sketch card looks fabby with the faux stitching! Wishing you a great week :)

  5. You sure have been busy with card-making (and shopping!). The Scrapbook Expo comes to my town in late June and I am READY.
I like the way you used the 'stitching' look on this sketch card. Nice job on all of these :)

  11. Very sorry to hear about the accident (seemed to be the week for it, my daughter was in a nasty one too). Glad you're okay! Hope you get a new car or your baby fixed soon. Great cards, fun take on the ODB water challenge and I had to chuckle when I saw your travel mid-week throwdown. "How you doin'" just caught me off guard (and yes, I heard it in my head as if Joey were saying it, lol). Your Sunday Sketch card is great too! I thought I'd heard Sandy say she was looking for "love" cards and to get the hearts out. I'd say that fits the bill perfectly without being too "valentine's day". Thanks for sharing! Tamara
